Statcut Terms of Service

Effective date: March 15, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Statcut mobile application, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1) Who we are

The Service is provided by Statcut ("Statcut," "we," "us," or "our"). Our contact information is listed in Section 18.

2) Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or older where required by law) to use the Service.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3) Teams, organizations, and player consent

If you are a Team (coach, club, school, league, or organization), you represent and warrant that you have obtained and will maintain all required consents and authorizations from Players (and, where applicable, parents/guardians) for collection, upload, use, and sharing of Player data, including Biometric & Health Data. You are solely responsible for your compliance with applicable employment, education, and privacy laws.

4) Not medical advice; no medical device

The Service provides performance analytics and informational insights only. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Do not use the Service for medical decisions. If you have health concerns, consult a qualified healthcare professional.

5) Wearables and third-party services (Fitbit)

If you connect a Fitbit or other third-party service, you authorize Statcut to access the data you approve. Your use of Fitbit is subject to Fitbit's terms and privacy policy, and our handling of Fitbit data will adhere to Fitbit's User Data and Developer Policy. You can disconnect integrations at any time.

6) Content you provide (footage, tags, and other user content)

You may upload or submit content, including videos, clips, tags, and notes ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Statcut a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, analyze, and display User Content to operate and improve the Service.

Training use: You also grant Statcut the right to use User Content in de-identified and/or aggregated form to train and improve models and features, as described in our Privacy Policy, unless you opt out where applicable or where prohibited by law.

7) Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service in a way that violates any law or infringes rights of others.
  • Do not upload content you do not have the right to use or share.
  • Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or compromise the Service.
  • Do not scrape, copy, or use the Service to build competing products except as permitted by law.

8) Subscriptions, fees, and trials (if applicable)

If the Service includes paid plans, fees, auto-renewal, trials, and cancellation terms will be disclosed at purchase. Taxes may apply. Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.

9) Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. By using the Service, you agree that we can process information as described in the Privacy Policy.

10) Intellectual property

The Service, including software, designs, trademarks, and content provided by Statcut, is owned by Statcut or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal or internal Team purposes in accordance with these Terms.

11) Feedback

If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant Statcut the right to use them without restriction or compensation.

12) Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or users. Upon termination, your license ends. Certain sections survive termination, including IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution.

13) Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STATCUT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. STATCUT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR ACCURATE.

14) Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STATCUT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL. STATCUT'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO STATCUT FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM (OR $100 IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID ANY AMOUNTS).

15) Indemnification (Teams and users)

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Statcut from claims arising out of: (a) your User Content, (b) your use of the Service, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) a Team's failure to obtain required Player consents or comply with applicable laws.

16) Dispute resolution; arbitration

This section is subject to legal review. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in accordance with applicable law. Please contact us at contact@statcut.com to attempt to resolve any dispute informally before pursuing formal proceedings.

17) Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
